Donald Trump: "Israeli forces will withdraw"

President Trump said Thursday on Truth Social that an accord had been reached for Hamas to fully give up its weapons, and he spoke of an Israeli military exit from Gaza. He credited the Board of Peace, a body he set up this year, with negotiating the arrangement, and said a new Palestinian government would run Gaza, with an international stabilization force and a new Palestinian police force providing security. However, a Hamas negotiator disputed the disarmament claim, telling The Wall Street Journal that the group only agreed to place its arms in storage. Israel has not publicly commented. Board of Peace officials said details would still need refinement, and no timetable for the Israeli pullout has been finalized.
