Marco Rubio: "every communist left-wing insurgency"

During a Fox News interview on Saturday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed what he described as Cuba’s far-reaching spying and covert-influence efforts. He pointed to the espionage conviction of Ana Belén Montes as one of the most serious intelligence breaches in U.S. history and a major penetration of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Rubio also stated that Cuba had planted operatives inside American institutions for decades without pay, and contended that Cuba had shaped left-wing rebel movements that affected Latin American governments over the past 40 years. In addition, he alleged that Cuba participated in a network financing and organizing U.S. protests linked to Antifa, Hamas, Nicolás Maduro and opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, with Cuban sympathizers in academia and journalism helping recruit agents.
