Kim Jong Un: "will set up additional military options"

Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and a senior official, said the country would prepare new military measures after Japan test-fired a US-supplied cruise missile from a warship in the Pacific. In a state-media statement Wednesday, she accused Japan of turning into an offensive military power and blamed the United States for enabling Tokyo's buildup. She also cited other Japanese missile launches and a US-led exercise in the Philippines. Her comments, the latest in a series of North Korean condemnations of three-way US-Japan-South Korea security cooperation, gave no specifics. Analysts say Pyongyang may use such warnings to rationalize its own arms activity and could stage further military displays.
