Benjamin Netanyahu says "We did not agree" with US draft on Gaza disarmament plan
“sent us a draft. We did not agree. It is not our draft. We sent our comments…. This is our position”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on August 4 that his country’s forces would stay on their current positions inside Gaza until Hamas fully gives up its weapons, undercutting a US-backed disarmament agreement that had been seen as a possible path out of the war. In response to the proposal announced by President Donald Trump, Netanyahu said on social media that Washington had supplied a draft he rejected, that it did not represent Israel’s position, and that his government submitted its own reservations. The plan called for Hamas to disarm while Israel halted strikes and pulled out of roughly 60% of Gaza it now controls. The public split marked an unusual display of tension between Netanyahu and the Trump administration.
