Ukraine’s overnight attacks hit oil refineries in Bashkortostan and the Yaroslavl region, as well as two Russian patrol boats and oil-transport ships in the Black Sea, according to Zelensky’s social-media statement. After a Russian strike killed 17 in the Kyiv region, Zelensky said he consulted NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and Finnish President Alexander Stubb about urgently obtaining defensive missiles; he and Rutte would combine their work to identify governments that could donate or sell suitable air-defense equipment. Ukraine urgently needs such air defenses because available stocks have been strained by the Middle East conflict, and Russia continues launching ballistic missiles. Overnight Russian attacks killed at least three civilians and wounded 22; Moscow reported shooting down 605 Ukrainian drones.
