Donald Trump says "Whatever it is" about threat that made him switch planes

President Trump on Tuesday downplayed the security episode that led him to covertly switch aircraft after last month's NATO summit in Turkey, saying Secret Service and military officials placed him on another aircraft because of a threat that did not frighten him. He said he did not seek details and faces many threats, adding that the plane he actually took may have been in greater danger. His comments backed a Washington Post report that a credible Iranian threat triggered the maneuver, including his concealment in an airport catering cart and the use of Air Force One as a decoy. Aides, staff, and reporters remained aboard the decoy. The secrecy lasted for weeks and was reportedly unlike any previous presidential covert trip.
