Donald Trump says Karoline "one of the best White House Press Secretaries" as she leaves office

According to a Truth Social post by President Donald Trump, Karoline Leavitt will step away as White House press secretary at the end of this month, choosing to devote more attention to her family after the recent arrival of her second child. In the announcement, Trump described Leavitt’s performance in glowing terms, saying she ranks among the finest ever to hold the position. Leavitt, 27, took the job in 2025 as the youngest press secretary in White House history; she had previously served in Trump’s first administration and as a campaign spokesperson. Her departure follows turnover among other senior Trump officials, including dismissals and resignations. Trump also stated Leavitt will remain a close outside adviser and an important Republican voice ahead of the November midterm elections.
