Donald Trump says "Thank you, George" to George Washington in AI video on ballroom project

President Donald Trump posted an AI-generated video on Truth Social showing himself alongside George Washington inside a ballroom he is seeking Supreme Court approval to build, thanking the former president for input on the project. The post drew criticism, including from The Daily Beast, amid reports of difficult conditions for sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, such as mold, food shortages, and a lack of basic toiletries. Trump had recently said crew members had not been at sea long enough. An MSNBC host found the video confusing, one conservative figure praised it, and another commentator suggested it reflected instability. The post gained attention at a time of war in Iran and Republican political struggles, and it was not Trump’s first time sharing the video.
