Sergey Lavrov: "direct involvement of British missile forces"

Visiting Kyiv for Ukraine’s Independence Day anniversary, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced that London would share technical drawings for British-made components of the French-designed Scalp missile, helping Kyiv and Paris explore local assembly. Russia’s foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, said Moscow would consider London’s role in supporting missile operations as effectively taking part in hostilities. Burnham, making his first foreign trip since taking office in July, dismissed Moscow’s warning, asking who had started the war, and pledged continued backing. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented him with an award. Burnham was also expected to chair a coalition meeting. The visit unfolded as Zelensky faced internal upheaval surrounding a dismissed former defense minister and corruption claims he denies.
