Donald Trump says Drummond's suit to block religious school is "an outright attack on Christianity!"

President Trump helped push Mike Mazzei to victory in Oklahoma’s Republican gubernatorial primary runoff, where Mazzei narrowly defeated state Attorney General Gentner Drummond. Before the election, Trump criticized Drummond as insufficiently conservative, pointing to donations to Joe Biden and the Lincoln Project that Drummond’s campaign said were made by his wife and refunded. Trump also faulted Drummond for opposing an aluminum plant and for declining to take a position on Trump’s impeachment. In the same message, Trump said Drummond sued to block a religious charter school supported by Trump’s administration, calling that move harmful to educational freedom and an attack on Christianity. A voter ID measure that Drummond had opposed also passed.
