Donald Trump says Larry Rhoden "has my Complete and Total Endorsement" in South Dakota governor race

President Donald Trump has formally endorsed South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden in his campaign for a full term, announcing the endorsement in a Truth Social post. Trump praised Rhoden’s performance as governor and cited his background as a fourth-generation South Dakotan, rancher, businessman, former state legislator and governor. The president described Rhoden as successful and emphasized his record of achievements. Rhoden responded on social media, thanking Trump and expressing interest in continued cooperation with the administration. The endorsement arrives during Rhoden’s run for the office; the general election is scheduled for November 3, 2026, against Democrat Dan Ahlers.
