Donald Trump says "Your next president is going to say"

President Donald Trump has recently begun discussing his post-presidency, a shift from his prior suggestions of seeking a third term, which are constitutionally prohibited. Speaking at a New York event, he described his successor taking credit for his achievements while he watches from home. This contemplation of life after the White House, with his term ending in January 2029, comes as midterm elections approach, highlighting the waning power of a second-term president. The White House maintains Trump is focused on his current duties, but his remarks suggest a growing consideration of his legacy.
