Putin asks Iran's president to convey "our greetings and words of sincere support" to Khamenei

At the Shanghai Cooperation Organization gathering in Bishkek, Vladimir Putin met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and reaffirmed Moscow’s backing for Tehran amid U.S. attacks. Putin said Russia is sending aid and continuing economic cooperation, and he asked Pezeshkian to deliver a supportive message to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Pezeshkian thanked Russia for wartime backing and help with sanctions-related economic strain, calling bilateral ties strong. Ukraine has accused the two governments of mutually aiding each other’s military efforts; beyond that, reports allege Iran has supplied Russia with drones and Russia has shared satellite data with Iran. The meeting underscores deepening cooperation between Moscow and Tehran at a Russia-China-oriented bloc.
