Narendra Modi tells Putin ending the war is "very important for all of humanity"

Russian forces launched a more than 12-hour assault on Kyiv and eight other Ukrainian regions, killing at least 12 people and wounding more than a dozen, including children, as many pupils returned to school. Ukrainian officials described the bombardment, the capital’s sixth consecutive heavy air attack, as an effort to wear down residents. Russia’s Defence Ministry said it aimed at military-related targets. Ukraine’s air force said Monday’s attack included missiles and more than 200 drones and decoys. Russia also reported intercepting hundreds of Ukrainian drones over 18 regions, with a fire at an oil and gas export port. At a Monday summit involving the leaders of China, Russia and India, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi told President Vladimir Putin that India supports ending the war, saying peace would matter greatly to everyone.
