Vladimir Putin asks “Are there British military facilities in Ukraine?” over UK weapons in Ukraine

At a press conference in Kyrgyzstan, Vladimir Putin was asked how Moscow would react to British weapons reaching Ukraine. He declined to answer, then, when asked whether British military sites on Ukrainian soil could be struck, he responded with an open question about whether such facilities actually exist. He went on to say that if they do, any military installation in Ukraine—British or otherwise—would be a justified target from Russia’s perspective. Britain’s Ministry of Defence has said it operates four equipment-repair sites in Ukraine, with a fifth planned, and the British government recently gave Kyiv blueprints for missile components so Ukraine could produce the weapon domestically. The remarks follow escalating Russian threats tied to Britain’s involvement, including warnings about drone factories, though Putin announced no concrete action.
