Benjamin Netanyahu says “All of Israel’s systems” are aimed at bringing down Iran’s government

In a recent interview with i24NEWS’s Hebrew-language channel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would bring down Iran’s government and that all parts of the Israeli state were engaged in that effort. The comment comes amid a conflict that began around October 7, 2023, and has continued for nearly three years. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has warned that Israel is prepared for possible Iranian attacks during the coming Jewish holidays and would respond forcefully. Separately, reports say President Donald Trump has questioned when Iranians will challenge their leadership, the U.S. has struck Iranian tankers under a new response policy, and Iranian hackers have threatened American infrastructure. Netanyahu’s statement matters because it publicly presents Israel’s goal as changing Tehran’s government, not merely responding to attacks.
