Volodymyr Zelensky said he ordered "an appropriate, tangible response" after Russian drone hit Kyiv

After a Russian drone hit the SBU security agency’s office in central Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had ordered a direct military response against Russia once preparations were finished. The blast occurred on the capital’s tenth consecutive day of drone attacks and produced black smoke near the UNESCO-listed Saint Sophia Cathedral; the mayor said at least seven people were wounded. Zelensky added that the drone targeted the agency chief’s office. The SBU conducts long-distance operations against Russian military and energy installations, and such official buildings have rarely been damaged during the war. He also said U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would visit Ukraine on Sunday after talks in Moscow.
