“I would like to thank Michael for having the Wisdom and Courage to step forward and do the right thing!”

On Truth Social, Donald Trump credited Michael Cohen, once his personal attorney, with renouncing earlier testimony in New York cases pursued by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and state Attorney General Letitia James. Trump described Cohen as the prosecution’s central witness, said the two prosecutors had forced him into making false statements, and thanked him before calling for the remaining proceedings to be dismissed. The post follows a January Substack essay in which Cohen accused the officials of applying pressure during their probes and noted an appellate court’s ruling that let Trump keep challenging his 2024 conviction on 34 falsification counts tied to payments Cohen arranged.
