“"Do you consider the Panama Canal your greatest achievement?"”
At the new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, North Dakota, set to open July 4, a digital avatar of the former president allows visitors to have interactive conversations. Days before the opening, former President Donald Trump visited the site and used this artificial intelligence tool to ask Roosevelt's likeness about the Panama Canal. The AI’s reply, generated by a company called Lemon Slice, is not scripted and varies with each exchange. The library, which took seven years to plan, features immersive galleries, historically accurate rooms, and original artifacts rather than books, aiming to present Roosevelt’s life from childhood to death. Trump’s question highlights the blend of technology and presidential history at the new museum.
