Donald Trump says NASEM "fraudulent, biased, and misleading" Manuals on Climate Change
“published fraudulent, biased, and misleading Manuals on Climate Change”

Twenty-five state attorneys general have urged Congress and federal agencies to stop funding the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, saying the institution spent taxpayer money to bolster climate lawsuits against energy companies. Their Aug. 27 letter focused on a climate-science chapter the Academies helped prepare for judges. President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social in July that the organization had issued flawed climate guidance, that public funding of it was unwarranted, and that he objected to judges’ use of it. The chapter was removed from the Federal Judicial Center manual, and NASEM later pulled it pending an independent review that the attorneys general described as lacking credibility. A co-author defended the text, saying it went through careful review and reflected established science. The dispute matters because courts are handling thousands of climate lawsuits seeking billions from energy companies.
