Donald Trump says ABC "his Show was cancelled!" about Jimmy Kimmel

ABC has denied a report that “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” would end when Jimmy Kimmel’s contract expires in 2027, saying claims about the show’s future were speculative. Kimmel’s current deal runs through May 2027, and ABC has not announced any ending. The show was briefly pulled in September 2025 after Kimmel’s comments about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk; affiliate owners Nexstar and Sinclair said they would not carry it, and FCC Chairman Brendan Carr criticized him. Kimmel returned Sept. 23 after ABC said it had discussed the matter with him. President Donald Trump then posted on social media that he could not believe the show was back and asserted that ABC had told the White House the program was canceled. Recently, a Kimmel joke about Trump and Ivanka led some viewers to demand cancellation.
