Donald Trump says he will stop wind power: "going to be stopping the stupid windmills"

While visiting Ireland, President Donald Trump was asked about the prime minister's reaction to his earlier remarks favoring a united Ireland; he replied that he was unaware of what Andy Burnham had said, describing Burnham as personable but liberal in outlook. Trump then repeated his assertion that the prime minister plans to allow additional oil and gas drilling in the North Sea, adding that he would put a stop to wind-power development and speaking of turbines disparagingly. The comments come amid a wider shift in his dealings with Keir Starmer, whom he praised after returning to office as liberal yet capable, before tensions arose over Iran and Greenland; as of June he was still calling Starmer agreeable.
