Trump says "not easy for me to write this criticism" of Supreme Court over mail-ballot limits
“It is not easy for me to write this criticism of the United States Supreme Court - it will likely cost me dearly for years to come - but I feel it my obligation and duty, as President, to do so for the America we love!”

President Donald Trump on Tuesday wrote on social media to criticize the Supreme Court after it declined to let his administration impose new limits on voting by mail for this year’s midterms. The court’s emergency ruling Monday night found the limits would likely be rejected in court for this election. State election officials had said there was too little time before Nov. 3 and that their procedures were sound. The administration had made a late effort to give the U.S. Postal Service a role in determining ballot recipients. Trump faulted the justices who ruled against him, praised Sam Alito and Clarence Thomas for their dissent, and said the decision came too slowly. He nominated Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh. The ruling lets states keep their mail-ballot practices. About one in three voters rely on mail ballots.
