The remarks came after the two held annual summit talks, where they unveiled several new agreements covering economic security, defense co-development, artificial intelligence, clean energy, and supply chain resilience in strategic sectors like semiconductors. Takaichi, Japan’s first female prime minister, is on a three-day visit to India. The deepening cooperation matters as the two countries approach the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic ties in 2027, with more than 70 bilateral dialogue mechanisms now in place.
