Donald Trump says International Criminal Court is an "out of control institution"

At the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, President Donald Trump urged countries that belong to the International Criminal Court to leave the organization, criticizing the court and its officials. He said the United States would not permit American military personnel or others to be investigated or prosecuted by a body he described as hostile to the U.S. and lacking authority over the country. The remarks came amid sanctions the Trump administration placed on court officials after the tribunal issued an order for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
