Marco Rubio says "It is an opportunity to say to students" about Foundry School training program
“It is an opportunity to say to students, ‘if you come here and you go to school and you follow this curriculum, you will leave here, not just with a paper credential, but with the skills that make you immediately employable in a high paying job, in a good paying job with long term stability,’”

On Sept. 3, Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary Marco Rubio announced Foundry School, a Trump administration program meant to bolster U.S. manufacturing, at an event held at the institute recently renamed for Donald Trump. Stanford is creating the curriculum and will host sessions starting in January; seven other universities are participating. Rubio said the country relied too heavily on other nations and framed the school as job training for manufacturing careers. The State Department describes the project as part of Pax Silica, its artificial-intelligence and supply-chain initiative, and says it aims to help Americans fill an estimated 3.8 million manufacturing positions that the Manufacturing Institute and Deloitte project will be needed by 2033.
