Regional Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported that air defenses shot down 72 drones over the area. Debris struck an oil terminal, a port near the Finnish border, and the grounds of the 18th-century Peterhof Palace complex. Local officials briefly halted flights at Pulkovo Airport and restricted mobile internet to disrupt drone navigation. Russia’s Defense Ministry said it intercepted 389 drones nationwide. The strike comes amid intensified exchanges, including a Russian drone attack on a gas facility in central Ukraine’s Poltava region.
