Tusk says Russia may stage "hybrid drone and missile strikes" on NATO's eastern edge

Days after Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk told parliament, citing intelligence, that Russia might stage disguised aerial attacks on Poland and other NATO states along the alliance’s eastern edge—possibly to test whether NATO would invoke Article 5, its mutual-defense commitment—a Russian Mi-8 helicopter briefly entered Polish airspace near Braniewo from Kaliningrad on Wednesday. Poland sent fighter jets up during the roughly 42-second incursion, which reached about 300 meters, and its military command said the episode appeared to be a test of Polish air defenses. The same morning, Russian strikes across Ukraine killed at least seven people, including two in Kyiv, and wounded 41, hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met U.S. President Donald Trump.
