At Meta’s annual Connect conference on Wednesday, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that its AI glasses will gain a hearing-enhancement function that he said has regulatory clearance to be sold without a prescription and can help with mild to moderate hearing loss as perceived by users. The feature is set to reach the U.S. later this year and can be added to compatible AI glasses for $150 or through a Meta One subscription. The news arrived as Meta promoted AI wearables, including new audio Ray-Ban glasses, updated Ray-Ban Meta and Meta Ray-Ban Display models, and lighter VR glasses. Meta also highlighted Muse, its recently launched AI agent, and said a palm-sized Muse Charm device is planned for December.
