Trump says "BIG DAY FOR BOEING" after Biman Bangladesh Airlines orders 11 Boeing jets

Biman Bangladesh Airlines announced an additional order for 11 Boeing jets at a Wednesday event in New York tied to the UN General Assembly, bringing its recent Boeing purchases to 25 aircraft under two agreements reached five months apart. The new 11 include six 737-8 Maxes and five 787-10 Dreamliners; an April 30 deal in Dhaka covered 14 planes—two 787-9s, four 737-8 Maxes and eight 787-10s. The earlier order was worth $3.7 billion and is to be delivered in stages from 2031 to 2035. The newer order’s price and delivery dates were not disclosed, though an estimate using older list prices put it near $2.4 billion. Boeing says the jets will reinforce Biman’s existing Boeing fleet and cut fuel use by 20–25 percent compared with older models. President Donald Trump later congratulated Boeing and its employees on Truth Social.
