Trump after Xi state visit: "I look forward to our next meeting!"

President Xi Jinping of China ended a three-day state visit to Washington, his second in-person summit with President Donald Trump this year, with the U.S. saying the two sides had agreed to prolong a trade truce that had been due to lapse Nov. 10. Talks unfolded amid continuing strain over tariffs, rare-earth minerals and artificial intelligence, and officials described only modest immediate results. After a handshake at the National Archives and a tea ceremony, Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, departed from Joint Base Andrews. Trump marked the farewell with a post on Truth Social. The leaders are scheduled to meet again at the APEC forum in Shenzhen in November and the G20 summit in Miami in December.
