Emmanuel Macron says world should be "a civilized international society"

French President Emmanuel Macron asked the assembly whether nations prefer a world ruled by might or a more orderly, cooperative global community. Other participants—including the United States, China, Russia and several European and Latin American heads of state—presented contrasting visions for reforming international institutions, underscoring the importance of peace, trade continuity and climate‑finance cooperation.
