Donald Trump: "really hates the way that things have gone with Iran"

Lara Trump, a former Republican National Committee co-chair and President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, said Tuesday that the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran could hurt the president’s party in November’s midterm elections, but she argued that blocking Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons matters more. She said the president would have preferred a different, faster course in Iran. According to her, Iran hopes to hurt the president politically through the elections. The conflict has lasted seven months as of Monday; after strikes began in February, Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, stopping about one-fifth of the world’s oil exports and driving up U.S. gasoline prices. Some Republicans want a faster conclusion, while the president has defended the higher fuel costs.
