Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel, Oman want no repeat of FlyDubai case: "this doesn’t happen again"

On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News that the person suspected in the FlyDubai case was an Omani citizen who exploited a gap in Israeli restrictions that bar aviators from nations such as Oman, which lacks formal diplomatic ties with Israel. He described the two countries as eager to avoid another such episode and warned that a repeat was possible, pointing to what he called indications that Iran and groups aligned with it are trying to target Israel and its people during the current election period. A passenger said the two pilots who landed the plane safely in Tel Aviv on Wednesday night were British.
