Donald Trump says he's "not involved in politics anymore" when asked about Netanyahu's reelection

In an interview with Time magazine released Thursday, President Donald Trump would not directly answer whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should be reelected in Israel’s elections later this month. Trump said he keeps his distance from electoral contests and cited his own record on Israel. He also said Netanyahu should not be underestimated despite past write-offs, and he had no negative remarks about Netanyahu’s opponent, Gadi Eisenkot. The exchange came during a broader interview that also covered Iran and other Middle East issues.
