Trump denies report UAE warned Netanyahu before Oct 7: "he would have done something about it"

U.S. President Donald Trump, in a Time magazine interview published Thursday, rejected an Israeli newspaper report that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had received a direct warning from the president of the United Arab Emirates that Hamas was preparing a major attack days before Oct. 7, 2023. Trump said he first learned of the report on the day the Sept. 28 interview took place and found the idea difficult to believe, suggesting that Netanyahu would have acted if given advance notice. Netanyahu has strongly denied the report. The dispute centers on whether Netanyahu was told about the attack before it occurred.
