Trump says war with Iran will end "very soon one way or the other"

President Donald Trump spoke to reporters at the White House about the war with Iran, indicating a resolution was approaching. The comments came as Iran said it had received a U.S. response to Tehran’s proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with senior Iranian leaders reviewing Washington’s counterproposal. Qatar said it hoped shuttle diplomacy between Washington and Tehran could yield a breakthrough. Trump also denied reports that he was willing to ease sanctions and release frozen Iranian funds in exchange for concessions on Iran’s nuclear program. The exchange is significant because it involves the two countries’ military conflict, the Strait of Hormuz, and sensitive nuclear negotiations.
