Trump says of Qatar's royal family's 747 for Air Force One: "you say two words: ‘Thank you.’"

While on a Western midterm campaign swing, President Donald Trump defended his acceptance of a luxury aircraft from Qatar’s royal family for use as Air Force One. At an airport rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, he described asking Qatar’s leader about borrowing a 747 before the emir offered it as a gift, and he defended taking it. The president received the plane last year despite objections from both parties, including some of his firm Republican supporters. The Arizona visit was part of a tour to rally Republicans ahead of Nov. 3 elections that will determine control of Congress; he then went to Montana to campaign for House candidate Aaron Flint.
