Donald Trump says "Zelensky is not a good guy for us to deal with" about Ukraine leader

President Donald Trump made critical remarks about Volodymyr Zelensky in a Newsmax interview, following an unusually public dispute between the two leaders. Zelensky said he regarded the U.S. president’s conduct as a betrayal, while Trump made clear he disliked the Ukrainian leader. Their clash has raised concerns that American support for Ukraine’s war effort could shrink. On Friday, officials reported Russian strikes across nine Ukrainian regions that cut emergency power to several hundred thousand households, damaged residences and injured at least 15 people. Zelensky attended an EU summit in Brussels, where European leaders pledged continued backing and pressed Washington to pressure Vladimir Putin. The EU’s foreign policy chief said the bloc is trying to persuade the United States to remain with Ukraine.
