Volodymyr Zelensky says Americans should see "what is really happening" amid US sanctions suspension

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed concern over the United States' decision to temporarily suspend congressionally mandated sanctions against Russia, a move that followed a controversial US deal to import Russian diesel. Zelensky stated that the sanctions were intended to exert pressure on Russia to end its war and highlighted recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of Americans understanding the reality of the situation on the ground, as relations between Washington and Kyiv have become strained.
