Volodymyr Zelensky says "the Pentagon is delaying" missile deliveries funded by Europe

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told U.S. senators that munitions funded by European countries are stalled at the Pentagon and need Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s approval, while several European governments are prepared to provide Patriot interceptors from their own stocks but require U.S. clearance. He has alleged that Washington is intentionally causing interceptor shipments to lag, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio said no military supplies are being withheld on purpose and framed the matter as balancing commitments to other partners with American needs. The dispute comes amid cooler Kyiv-Washington ties over military aid and intelligence sharing, and as Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy and transport sites continue and Kyiv seeks additional air-defense support.
