Trump endorses Netanyahu as "a Great Warrior Prime Minister" while criticizing Iran

Vice President JD Vance did not endorse Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of this month’s Israeli election, telling journalist Mark Halperin on Monday that he is focused on the U.S. midterms and will not get involved in Israeli politics. Vance noted President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Netanyahu, which Trump made over the weekend on Truth Social while criticizing Iran. The exchange highlights a contrast inside the administration: Trump has backed Netanyahu, while Vance has criticized his government more. The source also notes that Vance campaigned for Hungary’s Viktor Orban, who lost in April, and that a March report described a tense phone call between Vance and Netanyahu over the Middle East war.
