Donald Trump says Ilhan Omar’s homeland is a "real s***house"

Federal agents searched Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Washington, D.C., residence on Oct. 12 as part of an inquiry into possible fraud connected to her family’s immigration records, according to Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin. Omar, who was born in Somalia and became a U.S. citizen in 2000, told MS NOW she maintained her innocence and intended to leave the home because the search and ensuing attention left her feeling at risk. Authorities have not announced criminal charges. On Tuesday, President Donald Trump suggested she could be imprisoned or deported, criticized her character, accused her of hostility toward the U.S., and made disparaging comments about Somalia while discussing her background. The remarks came amid scrutiny generated by the search.
