Donald Trump says Peltola "shouldn’t be allowed to run" over Alaska election fraud claims
“In Alaska, I don’t think Mary Peltola, after perpetrating such a terrible scheme, should be allowed to run, because this is ELECTION FRAUD. The Democrats cheated! They found a man named Dan Sullivan, put him on the Ballot, then lied to the Court, and said they didn’t know anything about it. That’s perjury. She shouldn’t be allowed to run, and neither should the FAKE Dan Sullivan!”

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump said in Truth Social posts that Alaska Democratic Senate candidate Mary Peltola and a second Dan Sullivan on the ballot should be disqualified, alleging that Democrats improperly recruited the other candidate and lied in federal court. He cited a New York Times report published that day that said Peltola’s campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee helped recruit Dan J. Sullivan to run against incumbent Republican Sen. Dan S. Sullivan, whom Trump endorsed. Peltola’s campaign and the DSCC denied involvement in recruiting candidates, and Dan J. Sullivan said he entered the race on his own. The Justice Department last week sued to block certification of the Senate results if votes for Dan J. Sullivan cost the incumbent. Republicans have also used ballot-stacking in Alaska, the report said.
