During Nvidia’s GTC Taipei keynote at Computex 2026, founder Jensen Huang responded to the industry’s move from experimental generative tools to production-ready autonomous software agents by calling such agents the defining computing approach of the coming decade. Nvidia unveiled six products tailored to these agents—including a server processor, an open-source model, a security sandbox, and a desktop chip—arguing that agent workloads differ fundamentally from chatbots because they maintain state, call external tools, and run for extended periods, straining processors and memory. Gartner has projected that 40% of enterprise applications will embed task-specific agents by late 2026, a shift Nvidia aims to serve across data centers and personal devices.
