Trump says Iran conflict is "going to get wrapped up soon"

A New York Post report says Israel is weighing a covert operation similar to its September 2024 attacks that detonated Hezbollah pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon, this time targeting Iran’s senior military and security officials and potentially disrupting Tehran’s wartime command. Citing former Mossad official Oded Ailam, the report says that option is being considered and identifies IRGC chief Ahmad Vahidi and other officials as central power holders. It comes amid signs Washington and Israel are preparing for possible renewed strikes on Iran after the Nov. 3 US midterms, with a third American aircraft carrier heading to the Middle East. In a Friday interview with Kansas City’s KCMO, President Donald Trump predicted a near-term end to the conflict without offering a timeline or method, the report said.
