Ukrainian officials said Russian overnight attacks hit energy facilities in four regions, cutting electricity to several hundred thousand households, while a separate strike in Vinnytsia killed two people, including a 13-year-old girl. President Volodymyr Zelensky said the past week’s Russian attacks had been very intense and pointed to a shortfall in specialized air-defense weaponry. He said Kyiv tells the United States, European governments and other partners every day that it needs Patriot systems, and he renewed his appeal for quicker aid. Zelensky also said Ukraine struck a missile-fuel producer in Russia’s Rostov region, causing a fire and damaging four facilities. A limited Kherson ceasefire, arranged with help from US First Lady Melania Trump and Pope Leo, was due to end Sunday night.
