Early on Election Day, President Donald Trump used Truth Social to comment on the Alaska Senate contest, writing about Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan, Democrat Mary Peltola, and a third candidate listed as Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. In a post just after 1 a.m., according to The Independent, Trump described that third candidate as not a genuine contender and raised the possibility that Democratic attorneys had something to do with his absence.
