Volodymyr Zelensky says of U.S. congressional elections: "the world will be watching"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the Nov. 3 U.S. congressional elections, according to the source, with voting ending in many states as results were still being reported. All 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats were contested. Republicans were defending their majorities, while Democrats sought enough gains to check President Donald Trump’s agenda during his final two years in office. Before Election Day, Republicans held 218 House seats and Democrats 214; the Senate had 53 Republicans, 45 Democrats and two independents aligned with Democrats. The outcome determines whether Trump faces divided government, and Zelenskyy’s remark concerned the American contests.
