Donald Trump says he will veto Democratic legislation: "things that are insane"

A 51-seat majority in the U.S. Senate now belongs to the Democrats after victories in Texas, Iowa, Kansas and South Carolina, according to the report, which said the result ended Republican control of the chamber and reflected public discontent with President Donald Trump. Trump responded that he would veto Democratic legislation. He also said Iran was part of the reason the Republicans suffered heavy losses and that the public likely would not tolerate a brief effect tied to fuel costs. The outcome puts Democrats in charge of the Senate while Trump remains president, with his veto set to shape how Democratic bills are handled.
